The Rio Real Bulldogs boast an extraordinary staff that is committed to creating opportunities for kids that pave the road to their success. Since opening our doors in 1958, we have been dedicated to nurturing the whole child. To ensure that children are receiving the care they need, we offer Head Start, the Dual Immersion Magnet Program, Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Oxnard and Port Hueneme activities and an after-school intervention program for students not performing at grade level. We also were privileged this year to be chosen by Rio School District for the annual Make a Difference Day, where volunteers worked to beautify our campus for students by planting a vegetable garden, cleaning up the landscape and painting murals for the buildings, among other things.

Welcome to Rio Real, home of the mighty, mighty Bulldogs.
I believe that it is our job as educators to establish a strong foundation for lifelong learning. It is our responsibility to foster this desire in all students by providing them with the opportunity for intellectual, physical, and cultural growth. I feel the school must provide a secure environment where trust, encouragement and support leads to success, where every student is given multiple opportunities to learn and achieve, and the expectations for each student are challenging.
As principal of Rio Real School, I am proud to be a member of this professional staff and dynamic community of learners. At Rio Real, we believe that all students can learn. Real staff members are here to prepare students to do their very best. Our goal is to develop academic communication at the highest level. Our teachers are exceptionally committed to providing the best instructional strategies in a safe and nurturing environment. We truly believe that our children deserve the best opportunities to fulfill their dreams and overcome any challenges.
At Rio Real, we believe that teachers and parents are partners in our children’s education. We invite all parents to become involved in the many opportunities available: PTA, School Site Council, ELAC and many other committees.
